Trustworthiness implies dependability, reliability and in the context of social media truth.
So how do we trust what we read to be reliable?
- Is it how the post is written? - important because it will show that the person writing cares about their audience.
- Is it the absence of spin? - important because with so much spin coming from corporate, political and other organisations it is refreshing to read what is genuine, authentic and heartfelt.
- Is it a post with lots of comments? - important because it shows that people care.
Let's keep the conversation going and make an awesome list of ideas about how what we read on social media to be trustable.
There is no easy, one size fits all answer.
Looking forward to some interesting thoughts and comments.
